I guess you just ruin your own day. |

Just not after a day of sailing. I will most certainly be suffering an intolerable depression. |

Man, you observe flies WAY too closely!
First, who'd know if the filthy little buggars collide?
Second, who'd care?
Third, the flyswatter at my elbow has a 6" X 9" "blade" and a 3 foot handle; it takes out the whole dang swarm. |

Old habits die hard. Former physicist. Spent many years studying collisionless gases. Swarming mimics Brownian motion so it is sort of interesting mathematically. I have only heard that flies don't collide. |

Well there ya go.
First and only rule of sailing, kiting the gorge.
Don't run into each other.

Interesting. My Master's thesis was a mathematical analysis of the diffusion of gasses through orifices at pressures low enough that collisions did not occur. My profs called it Fick's 3rd Law of Diffusion.

Swarming behavior is interesting to watch, agree about fish and birds, not so sure about flies. But what the heck is collisionless gasses? Does Boyles law apply? |

Just asked Scott about this subject. Do collisions never occur or just very rarely? |

There are no collisionless gases here on earth. I did all my research on NASA projects launched into the ionosphere and magnetosphere. |
