Siiiiiiiiiigh.
I guess the good old days of scoring uncrowded coups via extra research and driving are being overcome by technology. Gone are entire solo midsummer mornings at Doug's on a 3.2, perfect 4.0 days alone at the Wall and Rufus, and shady front-row parking at Roosevelt @ 30 gusting to 31 all day on a hot July afternoon. I guess that's progress. Thank God the sport is dying, and thank God that so many turrists who spend thousands to get here are still unwilling to tap the Borg for data so vital to filling their vacation wind punchcard.
On the flip side, hooray for the random tweets and twits and chirps and whatever all that ethereal noise is called when a dozen parking spots and 132 swells are liberated because somebody shouts, "HEY ... my buddy says [pick any other site] is blowing one knot harder". He may as well have said, "Suckers! Start your engines!". Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose, but at least they're outta my way.
That, or I join them. If so, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.
I predict that tweets and chirps and whatever comes next will deplete our oil reserves faster than Exxon can drill holes in the planet.
