I'm looking for a small marine radio for sailing the SF bay... Recommendations?
I had one, but the antenna was long and fairly rigid making it tough to pack for windsurfing. Looking for smaller radio, small antenna, or maybe a folding rigid antenna that just packs down better. |

I've got an icom m72 that has never hit the water. In fact its never been used outside of being charged out of the box. If you are interested pm me with an offer. |

i have an ic-m72. 4 years old and still working fine.
salesman said just stuff it down the front of your wetsuit with a loop around your neck. no need for waterproof bag. take battery out after sailing so compartment dries out well. |

6 years on my 72 and still cranking. Never taken the battery out to dry but I keep it in an Aguapac waterproof case inside my wetsuit. Also carrry a strobe, whistle and some spare line in a very stylish man-purse, |

Hey, koogzah, would you mind posting a photo or link to the man-purse you use?
I have practically same kit as you (plus H-1 stainless steel knife) but have a hard time keeping it in 2 dakine emergency bags.
Thanks! |

My man-purse is the Dakine Solo. Radio goes in the wetsuit but everything else in the purse. |
