It seems rather curious to me that Obama's jobs czar and CEO of GE is touting the greatness of Chinese communism while his company that made $5 billion, pays no taxes, while continuing to offshore jobs.

What a crazy mixed up world. Meanwhile they pick on the truely productive class who make between $250k-$1million. Why don't they just pick on Buffet and Soros types?? I'm all for that...

They don't earn much money, and have already paid the income taxes on their savings. Even if the government stole all their wealth, it's insignificant on a national scale. And if their capital gains were heavily taxed, they'd put that money in safer investments where it would benefit productivity much less.

I dont know what's funnier....the clown shown here, or Adam Sandler's version of hallelujah at the Sandy benefit concert the other night.

Our local paper ran an article this morning stating that 19 states are out (leave it to the feds), and 17 are in with the rest undecided.

"That puts a huge task on the feds, a defining challenge for President Obama's second term". "Drafters didn't anticipate that so many states would remain on the sidelines" says the article.

I wonder what this will cost? No doubt that the left will praise the new jobs created by this laps in judgement as we head deeper into debt.

I am wondering why the option to "opt in or out" was even given to the states?

My guess is that this is just a ripple in the coming storm of Obama Care.

Co board head might know but I read the opt out was a compromise with the GOP. It opened the door to the Party Of No to make health reform look bad by using the opt out to waste tax money.
Same as allowing governors to regulate work rules in welfare.
The same GOP who demanded and got this compromise advertised it as
O ending work requirements for welfare once it was signed.
These guys represent you Techno?
Is this the finest conservative principles in action or screwing the American people in order to blame it on Obama?

You can bet your sweet bippy that it wasn't a Democrat who demanded the introduction and retention of that clause in the ACA. That's your GOP doing what they were elected to do: provide checks and balance to offset the insanity of the far left.

So, if a Republican got that clause into the bill, he/she got what he/she wanted and then voted against it, anyway?

The reality is that center line of politics is squarely drawn through the Democratic party. Both the left and right are effectively represented within that party while the Republicans have become non-participants - as clearly demonstrated by the voting record on the ACA. If someone included any clause by pledging to support the bill in return, it would have been a Democrat. However, wasn't the opt-out (from the expansion of Medicaid) introduced by the Supreme Court ruling?

I wouldn't bet my sweet bippy on any of Iso's theories. Big words, little information there...
