Good sailing with you guys yesterday! Yup when the tide started ripping out of Rock Harbor all that floating grass got thick. I did not have a weed fin on so lots of chop hopping required. I made to my job in Hyannis just in time at 3:00pm.
I have 3 jobs in Sandwich today so I am out.
Have fun Hardy and Rocket Rick!!!!

Thanks for the info shredbob. I too have been looking for places to sail in NE winds. Years ago I sailed somewhere in that general area, and when the tide was low you had to walk forever to get back. Is that a big factor at Bayview and Chapin?

Much less a factor at Bayview--only 500 feet of walk at most. Mayflower similar. Chapin walk is almost 1/2 mile. Chapin is really only sailable for approx. 2 or 3 hours each side of high tide, depending on how high the tide. Also, water lasts longer if NE wind has been blowing hard. Hope that helps.
You asked about NE. A note about NNW at Bayview--too onshore to get out. Straight North can be a bit tough too.
