Fort Lauderdale, FL -- Wow! This will be the 10th year of the i-to-i! Time flies. It doesn't seem that long ago we ran the first one. Check out the website to learn the history of the event.

The 10th annual running of the Inlet to Inlet Long Distance Race is scheduled December 1-2, 2012. The i-to-i helps wrap up the US Windsurfing National Race Tour for 2012. More information, notice of race, (NOR), etc. can be found on the official race website:

www.i-to-i.org

Hope to see you there!

Ron Kern

The forecast for this weekend is shaping up to be nice. Do you know anyone that could house me for the weekend? I don't need much, in fact floor space is great. I'll be bringing kite gear and hopefully I can keep up with the formula boards!

It was a fast race because of the wind strength and angle. If you could point high you only had to do one tack!

Ron Kern on formula gear smoked his way to first place in a little over an hour, a couple minutes ahead of the second place finisher, a young kite-racer.

I was third place way behind the top two, finishing in about 1:50, very pleased with myself. The Kona competitors finished around the same time as the formula / kite folks, but they ran a shorter course. I was impressed with everyone's skill and bravery in simply getting out through the intimidating shorebreak.

James, that looked like a very fun time. Nice job on the vid, fog and all.
