Slinky (John),
I hope you and your family are OK down in Old Saybrook. Question? I am thinking of sailing at the park just north of the Dock & Dine parking lot. Is it open? Thinking of heading down there Wednesday PM, incoming tide so should be good in the river.

Hi Lars, We are all fine here in Old Saybrook. Funny you should mention that park behind Dock and Dine, I only discovered it a few weeks ago, and was thinking it would be an easy launch in north to northeast winds. I will check to see if it is open early am. Wednesday ,and let you know.

Thanks. Planning to head down there this PM. Worst case, I will end up over at the public access spot at the intersection of Cromwell and North Cove. I parked down the path in the past, but worst case will park over at the boat launch in the cove.

Launch at dock & dine was cordoned off. Ended up at the public access point. Sailed 2 hours on the 5 but probably could have used the 4. Reporter called me a coastal fool on the newscast.
