Anyone else thinking of catching wind ahead of Sandy on Sunday? I was considering Sunday afternonon. The drawbacks are gusty conditions and rain ... but no mention of lightning. Will check conditions in the morning. |

Where would you or did you sail? I went to Annapolis. |

Glad to hear someone else went out, too. Yes, I went to Leesylvania State Park. There was a bit of wind shadow right near the launch, but the main part of the river was blowing 20+ with gusts to almost 30mph by my estimate. Not often I get overpowered on my 5.0. I sailed late morning and early afternoon, and went home when some odd lulls hit in the mid/later part of the afternoon. No rain, either.
How was Annapolis? |
