First off, I’m late to the party of reading the general threads. I’m sure you all have seen it, but this is a speedy classic:

“Please let me add my two cents worth which may bring the discussion to a more expert level.”

What a hot sh!t

Anyway, no hidden messages here, I’m hoping to sail Pleasant Bay first thing tomorrow unless anyone has a better idea. If it’s truly out of the east, the Orleans side is do-able but it takes a little effort to get out.

Ron, Chapin may be good. high tide at 11:30. Anyways some are comparing this Oct storm to the 1954 Hurricane Hazel. I remember it well, as I sat it out in my Aunts cottage on the South river in Marshfield.
Also this is worth watching. Unbelievable moves!

Too onshore for outer cape tomorrow.
Maybe later in the week if it goes SW. Thursday has potential but way too early to know

Sandy Neck is a good option for ene
also Bay view.

The speed guys should all be on the inside of Chatam light tomorrow PM
dead flat water and over a mile long run from old cut to new.
Maybe they can out run the sharks?

East is Side at Little Compton, SideOff at Hneck Beach, Swell usually breaks further offshore at Hneck and we have some upwind launches where you launch outside the break, then sail down in to the south swell. Might work with enough wind - and not too much wind. I'm not as familiar with South Shore, aka Little Compton.

Maybe Duxbury for me and Graham. Came back early from Hatteras, so I wouldn't get stuck with road closures. No wind all week Confused

Nahant. Mb'Head boys seems to all be staying local. we have our beach breaks that are relatively safe yet challenging and we have some nearby reefs we've been watching. Our biggest fear is driving, which really makes our home spots that much sweeter, plus Fred from mb'head has called me out on the FRED BULL.

all you boys down south should have some great stuff,so id be hesitant to say .. "come sail our spot.", but of course we'd be stoked if anybody else showed up to the FRED BULL 2012. waiting period sun. afternoon through mon. all day.

We may have to head south when/ if the whole thing switches souwest

can non residents launch from the parking lot before the bridge?
I've never been to duxbury before but looks like nice options to play in te swell on the outside or launch from before the bridge to ride in the bay

might be heading down there tomorrow

thanks
Jeff

Would love to see the "FredBull"
Does it involve like 30 trips to Dunkin Donuts and then a rigging frenzy?

I am sorry Josh that the Red Bull didn't happen, cause there will be some happening stuff somewhere, but looking at the pics out of Cuba, I could see it wasn't such a party there, and Corporate probably figures they got their big bang when Dude jumped from 120,000 feet.

Nahant may go big when the swell comes more east, and hopefully there is a window ...maybe Tuesday when the wind does come more W/SW. It's a teardrop place, there's got to be a tuckaway somewhere

Agree with Flaherty that Chapin maybe the best call for the Cape tomorrow if there is some North to it.

It's no problem to park before the bridge for non residents. I think the other side is OK after Labor Day, but I've never chanced it. Low tide will be a problem in the late afternoon.
