Ok, what is the best way to catch a wave? Slow down and wait for it, or sail into it from the side?

I think it's better to slow a little and wait for it. I like when you can feel the power of the wave push you on to the face. Rather than just speeding up and catching it late, and then speeding down the line independently of the waves push. I think feeling the push is what it is all about.
