Broken skinny wanted

Hi folks

Does anyone around Hood River have a broken skinny that still has some serviceable length (top and bottom) around the ferule? I do realize that is where they usually break, thus my quest.

I'm trying to make a two piece travel mast for my kids 1.0 rig. The aluminum pole mast is the only thing over$ized, but two cut down parts of a skinny would fit in checked luggage.

I only found this thread lately...
I have two pieces, but kid experience is that you need a lot more flexability....
I used a surf-fishing rod one time, but now go with bamboo

1/2 of a skinny will be way too stiff.....pvc pipe better
