La Ventana is the perfect place to tune up your windsurf skills, while providing significant others with a pleasant vacation.
The wind picks up around 11-12 and quits at around 5-6 so there is plenty of time for long walks on the beach with out being sandblasted.
The morning snorkling is first class, if you know where to look.
The hiking in the surrounding hills along palm lined desert oasis creeks is amazing.
Full moon tides uncover hot springs where the water from the source pools comes out at 137 degrees!!!! (check the photo below)
Morning sports fishing trips and Cerralvo Island excursions are available daily.
The newly paved road to Todos Santos makes it a one hour trip over to the Pacific for incredible surfing at Cerritos beach. (Surfboards are available for rent right next to the beach bar).
Come hang with us for a windsurf vacation, and we will guide you to all that La Ventana has to offer. |

Casey just hooked us up with a sweet brochure that we will be emailing around and posting here in the next few days. Also just got word that Naish will be sending me down with a couple of their awesome glass bottom window SUP's for cruising around and checking out the fish. Perfect for getting kids to go for a paddle. |

La Ventana Report
We arrived in LV on Oct 29th. The road down was in great shape. A big Norte followed us all the way down. The 30th and 31st were full on Norte, Tyson was throwing pushloops on his 4.5 off the breaking waves at General's sand bar. I was powered up on 5.0. We got those two and the next 4 days on 5.0. Then two days of dangle-able wind, which we used to catch a couple big Sierra off of our cool blue trimaran. Nov 4th and 5th the wind was back up and we raced around on slalom gear while everyone else sailed 5.7s.
The water is really warm no need for a shorty yet, and although we have seen them dead on the beach neither of us has felt any jellyfish stings.
There are a bunch of new restaurants in town, and a few new daytime snack carts near the campground for quick mid session eats.
So far we have sailed 6 out of 8 days, which is an incredibly good start for November.
We will keep you posted.
