My wife and I would like to travel to the Caribbean to windsurf and relax. She would like to try windsurfing for her first time, and I would like to wave sail or at least find some rolling swell to jump and carve on.
Any ideas? |

Go to Fuerteventura and check at Rene Egli for the Lagoon. It`s the perfect place for beginners.. warm, flat water.. just nice.. And you can sail outside the lagoon. Also, the waves in La Pared are very nice and it`s just 5kms away from tha Lagoon. |

If the priority is for your wife to have a good first windsurfing experience, I'd recommend Bonaire. Can't ask for a more friendly place to learn. However, Bonaire is a flat water spot, and the waves are not easily accessible if you're using rental gear.

Seriously Frank, Bonaire is it for your wife. Can you bring your own board and sail up at Cai in the waves? Tonky and team throw doubles up there anytime we get a swell...If you cannot bring your board, email me and I will let you borrow my wave board for up in the waves. ann@bonairecaribbean.com _________________ Ann Phelan
