Rocket Boat on the Bay

I keep hearing commercials on on lacal radio stations about the Rocket Boat on the bay. I am not sure about a boat with 2800 horse power zooming by at Mach I when I am jibbing under the North Tower. This thing is supposed to start operations on May 1. I am used to the normal boat traffic that we have, but a speedboat zooming around with tourists that has 2800 hundred horsepower? What up with that?

Its just a bright yellow sucker boat painted with flames that launches out of Pier 39.

They tend to stick to the relative warmth and calm winds of the South Bay and Embarcadero, accelerating and changinging course dramatically
to confuse and scare everyone and everything nearby...Mostly near AT&T park where they can get a lot of attention...

it was on the bay last summer. no big deal. the coast gaurd boats make better wakes.

there are some real rocket boats on the delta and san pablo bay.
