If I wasn't wavesailing through the winter I'd be in a Kokatat with the gortex socks for sure.

People who previously used large freeride sails are now foiling with wave sails or winging. Also I'm pretty sure that market, not being a prestige segment, gets served last by the available materials.

I'm into that Nitro 106L, something about a narrow board with a winger tail that says it'll turn really nice for the volume. Also glad to see they've finally gone to slot boxes.

My experience:
Modern sails bigger than 9.5m aren't earlier planing, just offer better VMG which isn't really what your board is built for.
If planing time is your ultimate goal then a much lighter, ...

I'm 200+ and the carbon boom advice is good, aluminum is a noodle at that length. You can probably get a used formula boom for fairly cheap. Possibly an older formula board too.

I don't have a pro-flex but I was going to get one for foiling. Tempted to install the regular tendon into it since I only really want the hinge for easier separate carry.
