You DO know that standard Formula fins are 70 cm., don't you?
While most of SF Bay racers were using 62-67 cm, the rest of the world was using 70's. |

More water time.
Longer mast gives more room before breaching, but foil hits bottom sooner and requires chin deep water to clear bottom.

I guess 10 lessons mean you I u are pretty devoted.
I tried windsurfing once, couldn't do it, so took a lesson and bought gear the next day, no more lessons in 40 years. |

Nothing wrong with part time windsurfing, but be aware it will always be beyond your horizons as you're on the outside looking in....at a very involved and complicated sport.

That is normal progression for 90 kilo guys who don't surf.
Deep water and chop makes standing on a 220 board difficult...forget the 180 until you are balanced and comfortable on the 220 with 5-6 m ... |
