Since I'm still figuring this out, it's not hard to get blown out to sea. Are there any non-ocean launches in SE NC (Wilmington/CapeFear/Carolina Beach) where a N to NW wind isn't directly offshore? |

The Cape Fear is generally a good place if there's wind. In Southport, I'd suggest going to the N side of town and letting in on the Cape Fear estuary itself rather than closer to the Bald Head Island ... |

Yes... in the Winter... and only really on the back of cold fronts in the warm season. I was out in >20kts in August (notoroiusly calm) at Ft. Fisher. Are you trying to go off-shore? |

Im 185lbs, the board is ~70 cm wide, and the fin? Well, I dont know for sure but it does have a daggerboard. |
