waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.1 inch high will remain in place across the 
lower great lakes through wednesday morning. a cold front will
then cross the lower great lakes late wednesday. a ridge of high 
pressure averaging 30.1 inches is then forecast to build into the 
central great lakes thursday and the ohio valley friday. a second 
cold front is then forecast to cross the lower great lakes late 
friday.
