waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.9 inch frontal trough will pass over the lake
early this evening. a 30.1 inch high over northern ontario will
then build across the upper great lakes during the overnight. the
high will become anchored over the upper great lakes friday and
saturday while a 29.5 inch low will be over the middle atlantic
states. high pressure will remain over the great lakes region
sunday and monday.
