afternoon to 1 am est wednesday...
* locations...northeastern maryland, northern delaware,
southeastern pennsylvania and parts of southern new jersey.
* hazard types...snow, sleet and freezing rain.
* snow and sleet accumulations...less than 1 inch.
* ice accumulations...a few hundredths of an inch.
* timing...snow and sleet will overspread the area during the
afternoon hours. the snow and sleet will transition to freezing
rain this evening before changing to rain for the overnight
hours.
* impacts...untreated surfaces may become icy. even a light
amount of ice could lead to hazardous travel conditions.
* temperatures...around 30 degrees this afternoon, rising to near
40 degrees tonight.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
this winter weather advisory means that snow, sleet and freezing
rain may cause travel difficulties. be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibility. use extra caution if driving.
