...small craft advisory remains in effect until 6 pm edt
wednesday...

* winds...north 15 to 25 kt.

* seas...7 to 12 feet.

* impact...mariners will face hazardous conditions when
  navigating area inlets to and from the atlantic, as well as
  the mouths of the lower cape fear river and winyah bay. this
  is especially true when maria's swell encounters an outgoing
  tide, whereby, steep waves are produced that could easily
  overtake a vessel.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
and or seas of 6 ft or greater are expected to produce hazardous
wave conditions, especially for smaller vessels. steep wave
conditions are possible, especially near inlet entrances.
