craft advisory.
winds have decreased to 15 to 20 knots and gusty across the
southeastern gulf of mexico north and west of the florida keys.
these gusty winds should remain across the coastal waters
overnight...an additional northeasterly wind surge is expected to
impact all waters mainly after noon on saturday.

the national weather service in miami has issued a small craft
advisory...which is in effect from 8 am edt saturday to 7 am est
sunday.
* winds and waves: the winds will be increasing to at least 20
knots on saturday before continuing to increase to 20 to 25
knots saturday night. this will allow for the atlantic seas to
build to 7 feet saturday afternoon before increasing to 8 to 10
saturday night. the near-shore gulf seas will quickly build to 7
feet on saturday while the offshore gulf seas will quickly build
to 10 to 12 feet.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

warning...which is in effect from 4 am to 10 pm edt saturday.
* winds and seas...west to northwest winds 25 to 30 knots with
frequent gusts to around 35 knots will develop late tonight and
continue into saturday night then become north around 20 knots
on sunday. short period seas will build to near 7 feet late
tonight and up to 10 feet saturday through sunday.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
the small craft advisory is for west to northwest winds 20 to 25
knots and gusty...which will produce hazardous conditions for
small craft. inexperienced boaters...especially those operating
smaller vessels...should avoid navigating in these conditions.
the gale warning is for west to northwest winds 25 to 30 knots
with frequent gusts top around 35 knots. operating a vessel in
gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels.
it is highly recommended that mariners without the proper
experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
