...the national weather service in jacksonville fl has issued a flood
warning for the following river in florida... 

  suwannee river at suwannee springs affecting hamilton and suwannee 
  counties

.the suwannee river is rising...in part due to 7 to 8 inches of
rainfall over the basin in april...as well as flood waters flowing
into the river from the withlacoochee and alapaha rivers.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

all persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest 
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect 
life and property. do not drive cars through flooded areas. if you 
see flood waters...remember to turn around and do not drown.

* flood warning for 
  the suwannee river at suwannee springs.
* from monday evening until further notice...or until the warning is 
  cancelled.
* at  9:00 am thursday the stage was 59.6 feet. 
* moderate flooding is forecast. 
* flood stage is 67.0 feet. 
* forecast...rise above flood stage by monday evening and continue to
  rise to near 68.3 feet by tuesday morning. additional rises are 
  possible thereafter.
* impact...at 68.0 feet...evacuation of some homes begins.

following river in florida...
  suwannee river at white springs affecting columbia...hamilton and 
  suwannee counties

.the suwannee river basin across south georgia and extreme north
florida has received 7 to over 8 inches of rainfall in april.
additionally...flood waters from the withlacoochee river and alapaha
rivers are flowing into the suwannee. additional heavy rainfall is
forecast for friday into saturday.

* moderate flooding is forecast. 
* flood stage is 77.0 feet. 
* forecast...rise above flood stage by saturday morning and continue 
  to rise to near 82.4 feet by monday early afternoon.
* impact...at 81.0 feet...area known as suwannee valley is inundated 
  and secondary roads are closed. flooding begins at stephen f. 
  foster state park.
* impact...at 80.0 feet...water begins to enter homes and secondary 
  roads become flooded.

warning for the following rivers in florida... 

  aucilla river at lamont (us 27) affecting jefferson...madison and 
  taylor counties

heavy rain thursday night and friday will lead to minor flooding
along the aucilla river near lamont. three to four inches of rain is 
expected.

* forecast...rise above flood stage by early saturday morning and 
  continue to rise to near 55.2 feet by tuesday morning. additional 
  rises are possible thereafter.
* impact...at 54.0 feet...minor lowland flooding begins.
