...the flood warning continues for the following river in florida..
  santa fe river at fort white affecting alachua...columbia and 
  gilchrist counties 
  santa fe river at three rivers estates affecting columbia...
  gilchrist and suwannee counties 
  santa fe river at hildreth on u.s. 129 bridge affecting gilchrist 
  and suwannee counties 

.elevated water levels on the suwannee river will keep the santa fe
backed up...while a heavy rainfall event is expected to bring another
2 to 3 inches of rain across the santa fe river basin friday into
saturday.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

all persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest 
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect 
life and property. do not drive cars through flooded areas. if you 
see flood waters...remember to turn around and do not drown.

  the santa fe river at fort white.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* at  9:45 am thursday the stage was 23.9 feet. 
* moderate flooding is forecast.
* flood stage is 24.0 feet. 
* forecast...rise above flood stage by early saturday morning and 
  continue to rise to near 29.2 feet by tuesday morning. additional 
  rises are possible thereafter.
* impact...at 26.0 feet...damage to homes at low elevation as well as 
  basement areas underneath homes on stilts is likely.
* impact...at 24.0 feet...minor damage to dwellings is possible due to
  boat wash.

* moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* flood stage is 19.0 feet. 
* forecast...the river will continue rising to near 24.9 feet by 
  tuesday morning.  additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* impact...at 22.3 feet...all of santa fe road is closed.
* impact...at 21.2 feet...north part of the santa fe road is closed.
* impact...at 20.0 feet...flooding begins on santa fe and wilson 
  springs road.
* impact...at 19.8 feet...waters begins to affect homes in the 
  hollingsworth bluff area at state route 47.
* impact...at 17.3 feet...water begins to reach homes just downstream 
  of river gage.
* impact...at 17.0 feet...water begins to cross river run road in 
  several locations.
* impact...at 17.0 feet...the florida fish and wildlife conservation 
  commission will be enforcing idle speed/no wake restrictions from 
  river rise at oleno state park to the confluence of the suwannee 
  and santa fe rivers while the river stage at three rivers estates 
  remains above 17 feet.

* at  8:15 am thursday the stage was 18.5 feet. 
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* flood stage is 15.0 feet. 
* forecast...the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by 
  early monday morning.
* impact...at 15.0 feet...minor lowland flooding begins. this level
  is the top of the bank at the marina.
