* winds...northeast winds of 10 to 15 knots will increase late
this evening and overnight to 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25
knots. the winds will then gradually decrease thursday morning.
* waves/seas...waves of 2 to 4 feet will increase to 3 to 6 feet
after midnight. the waves will gradually subside thursday
morning.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
this small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 15 to
25 knots will produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

* wind and waves during the small craft advisory: expect
sustained winds of up to 23 knots from the northeast...with
gusts up to 26 knots. the largest expected significant waves
will be 8 feet with a maximum wave height of up to 12 feet
possible.
* timing: the maximum winds are expected around 2 am edt
thursday with the largest waves expected around 8 am edt
thursday.
