...the national weather service in portland has issued a flood 
warning for the following rivers in oregon...washington...

  columbia river at vancouver affecting multnomah and clark counties

this is a continuation of the minor flooding being observed
and forecast for the columbia river in the area around vancouver
there is no additional flooding or impacts expected at this time.

river forecasts are based on observed and forecast rainfall and
temperatures, and they include current and planned reservoir 

for the latest river stages and forecasts, visit 

the next update for these locations will be issued by 3 pm sunday.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

turn around, don't drown. don't drive into flooded areas. 
avoid walking near riverbanks during high water.

the national weather service in portland has issued a 

* flood warning for 
  the columbia river at vancouver
* until further notice.
* at 3 pm saturday the stage was...16.0 feet.
* flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...this river is affected by tides, and will oscillate
  between about 15.7 feet and about 16.1 feet through the
  weekend and into early next week, with the highest readings
  during high tide.
* impact...above 16 ft, expect flooding of some islands and low areas,
  with minor impacts for parks and trails along the river. boaters 
  should be cautious with faster currents than usual and watch for 
  submerged wooden piles near banks or islands.
