surf along south facing shores will be 1 to 3 ft through wednesday.
surf along west facing shores will be flat to 2 ft through
wednesday.
surf along east facing shores will be 4 to 6 ft today then drop to 3
to 5 ft wednesday.
surf along north facing shores will be flat to 2 feet through
wednesday.
outlook through monday june 24:
small surf prevails around the island today. mainly waist high surf
will continue for south facing beaches over the next few days. mid
period southeast swell will provide slightly larger surf sunday into
early next week topping out around chest to shoulder high for
exposed areas. trade swell will ease slightly over the next two days
then build again this weekend. a developing north pacific low could
produce a modest northwest swell that will arrive early next week.
surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves. the
surf forecast is based on the significant wave height...the average
height of the one third largest waves...in the zone of maximum
refraction. some waves may be more than twice as high as the
significant wave height. expect to encounter rip currents in or near
any surf zone.
