.water levels have subsided somewhat on the kankakee river near
the i-55 bridge. some areas of open water had developed over the
last 2 days. however...an ice jam remains just downstream of the
bridge and water levels may fluctuate rapidly as the ice moves in
the river. residents along the river should remain alert for rapid
changes in water levels.

* at 1226 pm mst heavy rain has occurred over the advisory area in
the last hour to last three hours. this will cause normally dry
washes to begin running as well as ponding of water on roadways and
low lying areas.
* locations that may experience minor flooding include but are not
limited to...us highway 60...highway 79...highway 88...apache
junction...gold canyon...mcdowell mountain regional park...state
route 87...and any low lying travel corridors.
continuous entrainment of rain showers has produced one third to one
half inch of rain over the last hour in the locations included in
this advisory. roadways may become flooded or covered in standing
water.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a flood advisory means that normally dry washes and streams will
suddenly have running water. unbridged crossings may become
hazardous. there will be ponding of water on streets and low spots

western cochise county in southeast arizona...
this includes the cities of...willcox...sierra vista...bisbee...
southwestern graham county in southeast arizona...
* until 130 pm mst
* at 1034 am mst rain continued to fall across western cochise
county and southwest graham county at a rate of a quarter to half
inch per hour. rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches have been common.
minor street flooding has been reported in sierra vista and
washes flowing out of the huachuca mountains are running strongly.
radar indicated rain will continue into at least early afternoon.
thus...an urban and small stream flood advisory will continue.
