* at 717 am edt...doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. up to two inches of rain have already fallen in
portions of the warned area. rainfall rates of up to 1 inch per
hour is possible. flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* some locations that will experience flooding include...
warren...livonia...troy...southfield...taylor...st. clair shores...
novi...romulus...grosse pointe...downtown detroit...canton...
detroit...sterling heights...dearborn...royal oak...wyandotte...
birmingham...northville...westland and farmington hills.

southwestern kent county in central delaware...
west central sussex county in southern delaware...
caroline county in eastern maryland...
* until 930 am edt
* at 425 am edt...doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. two to three inches of rain
have already fallen across portions of caroline county within the
last hour. this heavy rain will slowly move northeastward over the
next hour or two. because this amount of rain will fall in a short
period of time...flash flooding is likely to occur.
* some locations that will experience flooding include...
seaford...denton...federalsburg...bridgeville...greensboro...
oakland...ridgely...preston...goldsboro...harmony...andrewsville...
agner...smithville...sandtown...hazlettville and henderson.

* at 616 am edt...as much as five to eight inches of rain has fallen
over the last several hours. local law enforcement reported areas
of flooding across the warned area due to the heavy rainfall.
additional periods of moderate to heavy rainfall could continue to
develop and move across the area and exacerbate the flooding.
