...the flash flood warning remains in effect until noon cdt for west
central richland...northern sargent and southern ransom counties...
at 548 am cdt...weather service doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. observed and radar
estimated rainfall indicates 4 to 8 inches has occurred since
midnight. additional rainfall of up to an inch is possible.
runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. some locations that will experience flooding include...
gwinner...milnor...wyndmere...barney...cogswell...crete and de
lamere.
the following streams are included in the warning...sheyenne river...
wild rice river...bear creek and elk creek.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
turn around dont drown. avoid driving on flooded roads. most flood
related deaths occur in automobiles.
