...patchy dense fog developing in central and east-central
wisconsin...
lingering moisture from yesterdays rain combined with light winds
was allowing fog to form across central and east-central wisconsin
early this morning. the fog was reducing the visibility to below
1/4 mile in places. the patchy dense fog will pose a hazard to
early morning motorists.
if you are traveling early this morning...allow for increased
travel time to your destination. be prepared for abrupt changes
in visibility. when encountering dense fog...slow your vehicle to
the point where you will be able to safely stop if you encounter
an object or animal on the roadway. always use low- beam
headlights.
the fog will persist through daybreak...and should dissipate by
around 900 am.

patchy dense fog is expected early this morning, mainly in rural,
low lying portions of the area. visibility in the fog may be as
low as a quarter mile or less. the fog should quickly burn off
after sunrise with visibilities improving significantly by 9am edt.
in the meantime, motorists should use extra caution and be
prepared to slow down when fog banks are encountered.
