the national weather service in lincoln il has issued a 

* flood warning for 
  the little wabash river below clay city.
* from this evening until sunday evening.
* at  945 am thursday the stage was 17.7 feet.
* flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to 
  rise to near 19.4 feet by early saturday morning.the river will 
  fall below flood stage by sunday afternoon.
* impact...at 19.7 feet...mayflower road...just north of u.s. route 
  50...begins to flood.

...the national weather service in marquette has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in upper michigan...

  middle branch escanaba river at humboldt affecting marquette county

.rainfall of 1.25 to just over 1.5 inches has occurred in the northern
portions of the middle branch of the escanaba river basin since sunday
morning with the majority of that rain occurring since last evening. 
additional moderate to heavy rain will occur through the day today 
which will push the river just above flood stage on tuesday morning. 
rain will diminish tonight, but the river is not expected to fall 
back below flood stage until later tuesday night.  

precautionary/preparedness actions...

safety message...even 6 inches of fast moving flood water can knock 
you off your feet...and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. never 
try to walk...swim...or drive through such swift water. if you come 
upon flood waters...stop...turn around and go another way.

* from tuesday morning to late thursday night.
* at 9:15 am monday the stage was 5.7 feet.
* flood stage is 6.5 feet.
* minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river is expected to rise above flood stage on tuesday
  morning and continue to rise to near 6.6 feet on by early tuesday 
  afternoon. the river stage is then expected to fall below flood stage 
  on tuesday night. 
* at 6.5 feet...county road fx begins to flood.

...the national weather service in paducah, kentucky has issued a 
flood warning for the following rivers in indiana... 

  patoka river near princeton

.heavy rainfall expected today and over the past 24 hours will lead
to minor river flood conditions on the patoka river near princeton.
the river is forecast to rise above flood stage early friday morning
and continue rising to a crest near 19.5 feet by saturday morning. the
river will then fall to below flood stage late next week.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

safety message...

never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded 
areas. the water may be too deep to allow safe passage. never allow 
children to play in or near flood waters. stay tuned to noaa weather 
radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

  the patoka river near princeton.
* from late tonight to saturday may 04.
* at  9:45 am thursday the stage was 16.3 feet. 
* flood stage is 18.0 feet. 
* minor flooding is forecast. 
* forecast...rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and 
  continue to rise to near 19.5 feet by saturday morning. the river 
  will fall below flood stage by friday before midnight may 3.
