* snow accumulations...4 to 8 inches. up to a foot possible near 
  mount ashland. 

* winds...south 40 to 60 with gust to 70 mph possible over the 
  exposed higher terrain. 

* timing...moderate to heavy snow will arrive saturday night and 
  continue into sunday. 

* locations include...mount ashland...interstate 5 near siskiyou 
  summit...highway 66 east of ashland and highway 140 near lake 
  of the woods. 

* impacts...wet snow will produce hazardous travel conditions. 
  roads will become snow covered. some roads could become 
  impassable.

gorge and the upper hood river valley...

the winter weather advisory for snow is now in effect from 10 am
saturday to 6 pm pst sunday.

* timing...intermittent light snow is possible tonight. snow will
  increase late saturday morning and saturday afternoon. there
  will be a lull in the snow saturday night before increasing
  early sunday...decreasing again late sunday.

* accumulations...tonight less than an inch...except locally 1 to
  2 inches in the upper hood river valley. 1 to 2 or 3 inches of
  snow expected late saturday morning through early saturday
  evening. another 1 to 3 inches possible late saturday night and
  sunday.

* impacts...the light snow and any possible ice will cause 
  travel difficulties along interstate 84 in oregon and state 
  route 14 in washington...as well as along adjacent secondary 
  roads.
