the national weather service in portland has issued a dense fog 
advisory, which is in effect until noon pst today.

* visibilities...areas of visibilities one quarter mile or less. 

* timing...through noon today.

* temperatures...temperatures will be near or below freezing in
  some areas this morning, leading to areas of freezing fog.

* impacts...fog will restrict visibilities and impact driving.
  freezing fog may lead to slick spots on roadways.


precautionary/preparedness actions...

a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
