* waves...w building to 10 to 11 ft at 15 seconds this
afternoon. waves will remain near 10 to 11 ft around 13
seconds tonight and fri...then subside fri night.
a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

* winds: south 20 to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots early this
morning then diminishing to 15 to 25 knots with gusts to 30
knots this afternoon before increasing to 20 to 30 knots again
tonight into friday.
* seas: 8 to 12 feet with 6 second period south wind waves and
west swell at 12 seconds. seas will continue to build to 10 to
13 feet by this evening and then remain high through friday
* areas affected: the hazardous seas warning conditions are
expected in the vicinity of the cape blanco buoy 15 northward
across the coastal waters from cape blanco to florence between 5
and 50 nautical miles of the coast. all areas will be affected
by the advisory level seas. nearly all areas except the
brookings area from the coast out to 10 miles west of the coast
will be affected by the advisory level south winds this morning.
winds will diminish in the area north of gold beach and beyond
30 miles from shore late this morning then increase tonight.
