Conimicut Light Overview
Conimicut Point is a beautiful place to sail, there is adequate parking and grass to rig on. A strong current over the sandbar has resulted in some swimmer emergencies and even deaths but is probably not a problem for a good sailor.
On the east side of the passage, residents-only Barrington Beach typically gets less wind.

Sensor Notes
Data from this station is courtesy of NOAA's CO-OPS program. Unfortunately, this sensor seems to read high. I take it as an indication of the wind at higher levels which may come down to the water with favorable thermal conditions. But it can read 20 here and be only 10 down on the shore. If it's blowing elsewhere, like Sabin Point, this is a good bet.
