the areas affected include...
  chesapeake bay from little creek va to cape henry va including the 
  chesapeake bay bridge tunnel... 
  coastal waters from cape charles light to virginia-north carolina 
  border out to 20 nm... 
  coastal waters from parramore island to cape charles light va out 
  20 nm... 
  currituck sound... 
  waters from cape charles light to virginia - north caroline border 
  from 20 to 40 nm... 

at 329 pm edt...doppler radar indicated strong 
thunderstorms...capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. these 
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near ship 
shoal inlet to chesapeake light tower...moving east at 10 knots.

locations impacted include...
chesapeake bay bridge tunnel...1st island bay bridge...chesapeake
light tower...anglo african wreck...virginia beach oceanfront...cape
henry...ship shoal inlet...sandbridge...lynnhaven...fish hook...
fishermans island...10 nm east of virginia beach oceanfront...cape
charles light...cape henry wreck and rudee inlet.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...locally higher
waves...lightning strikes...and heavy downpours. boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
