...storm force wind gusts and 20 foot seas are possible across the
open atlantic waters east of massachusetts late saturday into
sunday...
an intensifying low pressure system will pass near or southeast of
40 degrees north/70 degrees west later saturday into sunday. while
uncertainty remains in this storm/s track and intensity...a period
of storm force wind gusts to 50 knots and 20 foot seas are a
possibility across the open atlantic waters east of massachusetts.
those with marine interests should stay tuned to later forecasts
and be prepared to return to port by early saturday. this has the
potential to be a significant storm for the marine community.

...areas of dense fog over the coastal waters through at least monday
morning...
a shallow marine layer will continue to produce areas of dense fog
over the coastal waters through at least monday morning...and
possibly into tuesday morning. the most widespread dense fog
coverage will occur through monday morning. visibilities will fall
to 1 nm or less where fog occurs...leading to hazardous boating
conditions.
