is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along
with the average height of the highest 10 percent of the waves
which will occasionally be encountered.

.synopsis...high pressure of 30.2 inches over the central great
lakes and southwestern ontario will drift east to southern quebec
and eventually the new england coast on friday...while an area of
low pressure of 29.8 inches develops within a weaker trough across
the central plains and upper midwest. this low will consolidate
over wisconsin and northern lake michigan into saturday...before
lifting northeast and trailing a weak cold front across the lake
saturday night. weak high pressure ridging of 29.9 inches will
spread across the lake in the wake of the low early sunday...as a
deeper low of 29.6 inches develops over the dakotas and lifts into
manitoba by sunday afternoon. a cold front trailing from this low
will continue to push east across the western lakes on monday.
weak high pressure will then spread across the region tuesday.

.synopsis...30.1 inch high pressure centered across lake huron will 
continue to track east to the new england states for friday. expect 
a 29.8 inch trough to lift from the central plains to the upper 
great lakes on friday...and be reinforced by another 29.8 inch low 
moving in from the southwest on saturday. look for the entire system 
to exit into southern ontario saturday night. 30.0 inch high 
pressure will briefly build across lake superior saturday night into 
sunday. 29.8 inch low pressure over lake winnipeg sunday afternoon 
should move along the northern manitoba and ontario border monday 
afternoon at 29.2 inches...while dragging a 29.5 inch trough across 
lake superior. the main low pressure system will reside over hudson 
bay monday night into tuesday...as a 29.8 inch ridge of high
pressure pushes into lake superior.
