.synopsis...a large area of high pressure of 30.2 inches centered
over the eastern great lakes extends from southern quebec to the
lower ohio valley and from the upper mississippi valley to new
england and the mid atlantic region. the high pressure will
gradually slide to the east as a trough of low pressure averaging
29.7 inches develops over the central plains. while the high
pressure still dominates lake michigan through thursday...relatively
light winds will prevail. another low of 29.8 inches will drop
out of the northern rockies and track east to lake superior by
friday evening...strengthening the generally southerly winds over
the lake. the southerly flow will prevail over lake michigan
through early next week.
