*at 7.0 feet, water begins to move over sea wall around lake monroe 
and rises into grassy areas around the sea wall. water begins to 
encroach on seminole boulevard.

a river flood warning remains in effect for...the saint johns river 
near cocoa, above lake harney near geneva, near sanford, near deland, 
and at astor. 

...major flooding is ongoing above lake harney near geneva...
 
...moderate flooding persists near cocoa, near deland, and at astor...

...minor flooding to continue near sanford...

river levels are expected to remain nearly steady or only slightly 
decrease this weekend through the end of the work week. the river forecast
near cocoa is for the river stage to drop to minor flood stage by mid week. 
scattered showers are in the forecast today through tuesday night as a cold 
front approaches and moves through central florida on tuesday-wednesday. 
regardless of additional rainfall over the basin, river levels will remain 
above flood stage for several weeks, with a very slow rate of decline.

* moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. 

*at 3.5 feet, moderate flooding occurs with many yards and streets 
along the river and with canals flooded, water enters the first floor
of low lying homes. flooding to docks and yards at condominiums on 
juno trail and docks at astor bridge marina. roads flooded in south 
moon fish camp and starting to move over the sea wall at blair's 
jungle den.

...a flood warning remains in effect until 1030 am cdt for baldwin
and northwestern escambia counties...

at 800 am cdt, rain gauge observations indicated that widespread 
rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches of rainfall fell over a large 
portion of baldwin county and northwest escambia county florida last 
night, with isolated amounts over 8 inches. while rain has ended, 
flooding will persist along area rivers, creeks and streams. the 
fish river at silverhill crested just below major flood stage late 
last night, and will remain in moderate flood stage through this 
afternoon. the styx river at elsanor is forecast to crest near major 
flood stage this morning.   

some locations that will experience flooding include...
daphne, fairhope, bay minette, foley, robertsdale, point clear,
loxley, lillian, magnolia springs, stapleton, bon secour, summerdale,
silverhill, perdido beach and elberta.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

a flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. all
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

* at 5 am monday the stage was 12.4 feet. 
* no flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. 
* flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage early this morning and crest
  near 15.0 feet by this afternoon. the river will fall below flood stage by
  early tuesday afternoon.
* at 13.0 feet...the river begins to leave its banks at the parking lot of 
  adventures unlimited and begins to threaten several permanently parked 
  travel trailers.

* from early tuesday until wednesday evening.
* at 6 am monday the stage was 6.1 feet. 
* no flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. 
* flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* forecast to rise above flood stage by early tuesday and crest near 9.3 feet 
  by early wednesday morning. the river will fall below flood stage by 
  early wednesday evening.  .
* at 10.0 feet...some flooding of trailers north of the okaloosa correctional 
  institute.
