...the flash flood warning remains in effect until 615 pm cdt for
southern burleson...washington...western walker...northern waller...
grimes...southeastern brazos...west central montgomery and
northwestern austin counties...
at 501 pm cdt...doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. 3 to 6 inches of rain have fallen
with isolated radar estimates of 6 to 8 inches. flash flooding is
already occurring across part of the warned area. in brenham county,
road closures were reported at fm 2935 near new year's creek.
some locations that will experience flooding include...
brenham...navasota...hempstead...prairie view...washington...shelby...pine
island...burton...anderson...todd mission...richards...plantersville...
carlos and roans prairie.
additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area as thunderstorms continue to move across the area.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
a flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
if you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

southwestern houston...burleson...northwestern washington...west
central walker...northern grimes...brazos and madison counties...
at 405 pm cdt...doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the warned area. 3 to 6
inches of rain have fallen, with radar estimates showing isolated
areas of 6 to 8 inches. flash flooding is already occurring and
residents are urged to stay off the roads until flooding subsides.
according to the college station police department, several roads
are flooding in and around the city. some of these areas include all
of southwest parkway between welborn road and state highway 6,
holleman drive at glade, krenek tap at king cole, and several areas
along harvey road. additional flooded roads are occurring across the
warned area, and residents are asked to check with local government
officals for the latest updates in flooded roads.

college station...bryan...madisonville...caldwell...austonio...somerville...
snook...bedias...kurten...wixon valley...millican...kyle field...lake
somerville dam...iola...wellborn...independence...north zulch...quarry and
lyons.
additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
in hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. find an alternate route.
a flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
if you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
