Sensor Notes
Data from this station is courtesy of the National Data Buoy Center. THE WIND METER AT ST PETE PIER IS OFF A BIT -IT UNDERREADS THE EAST WINDS(seems to read SE winds about right). The huge pier casts a big wind shadow on the meter so look at the gusts of the St.Pete Pier reads and add +5mph or so... Also Look at DAVIS ISLAND wind meter.. if it shows E 20mph at DI and StPetePier may show E8mph-gust to 13 so you can saftely guess that it will be blowing E 18 @ StPetePier waters.
Windiest Spots:
St. Georges Buoy 33mph
|
Corpus Christi Intl Airport 33mph
|
Devil's Island 33mph
