  areas, in illinois, cook, dupage, ford, grundy, iroquois, 
  kankakee, kendall, la salle, livingston, and will. in indiana, 
  benton, jasper, lake in, newton, and porter.

* multiple rounds of showers and some thunderstorms are expected
  overnight, tuesday, and into portions of tuesday night. 
  widespread rainfall amounts of one and a half to four inches are
  expected with isolated higher totals possible. 

* the ground remains frozen, therefore much of the rain will
  result in rapid runoff. expect rises on area rivers and streams
  that may result in flooding. there have already been reports of
  flooding of low lying areas and on roadways near flood prone
  areas.

.an additional round of heavy rain will develop overnight tonight
into the pre dawn hours tuesday. this will likely lead to
additional flood concerns, including during the morning commute on
