...dense fog advisory is cancelled...

the national weather service in spokane has cancelled the dense
fog advisory.

the fog across the areas has risen into a stratus deck this 
morning. there will still be isolated locations with fog but it 
is not expected to be widespread.

...dense fog advisory remains in effect until noon pst today...

* visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times.

* timing...the fog will persist through the morning hours and 
  then begin to dissipate midday.

* impacts...visibility restrictions caused by the fog will 
  create the need to slow down and drive with plenty of distance 
  between cars. slick conditions can also develop due to the 
  freezing fog.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
