...very windy conditions saturday night and sunday...
.a deep low pressure system will push a cold front through the
region tonight. southwest winds are expected to peak early sunday
morning. windy conditions are expected for portions of the
columbia basin...the palouse and the foothills of the blue
lower garfield and asotin counties-washington palouse-
upper columbia basin-spokane area-

...wind advisory remains in effect until 3 pm pdt sunday...
* winds...southwest 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
* timing...winds will continue to increase tonight... peaking
between 9 pm and sunrise sunday morning. the winds will begin to
slowly dissipate sunday morning with a return of gustiness again
sunday afternoon.
* impacts...light weight objects and tree branches may become
flying objects. vehicles traveling on area roadways should be
prepared for strong and gusty winds. power outages may be
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a wind advisory means that winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected.
winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. use extra caution.

hours...then slowly subside after midnight.
* wind...west to southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
* impacts...winds this strong can snap small tree branches...
topple small or shallow rooted trees...and cause local power
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph
and/or gusts of 45 to 57 mph are likely.
