the national weather service in boise has extended the

* flood advisory for...
  rain and snowmelt in... 
  east central elmore county in southwestern idaho...
  southern camas county in southwestern idaho...

* until 145 pm mdt monday

* at 1057 pm mdt, snowmelt was causing minor flooding along the 
  camas creek. flooding of fields is occurring, with water 
  encroaching on some roads.  

* the camas creek and sounding creeks and streams will slowly fall 
  overnight, but rise again late tomorrow into monday as additional 
  rain develops. this will result in continued minor flooding. 
  roadways will continue to be impacted by flooding.

* some locations that will experience flooding include...
  fairfield and surrounding county roads.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

the national weather service in pocatello has extended the

* flood advisory for...
  a dam floodgate release in... 
  south central caribou county in southeastern idaho...
  western franklin county in southeastern idaho...

* until 115 pm mdt sunday

* emergency management personel reported high inflows into the 
  alexander reservoir near soda springs due to snowmelt and runoff 
  which has necessitated dam releases. as a result, minor flooding 
  of low lying areas is expected along the bear river downstream 
  from west of niter to thatcher, and from riverdale south to the 
  utah border. additional flooding will remain possible over the 
  next several days as high flows from the upstream dams continue. 
  in addition, elevated flows due to snowmelt and runoff on the cub 
  river near franklin and whitney may result in minor flooding. 

* some locations that will experience flooding include...
  thatcher, whitney and riverdale.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

a flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
