...isolated thunderstorms possible this evening through early
saturday morning...
a cold front will sweep across the coastal waters this afternoon
and tonight. a cold and unstable air mass behind the front will be
the slight chance of thunderstorms to the coastal waters...mainly
west and north of the channel islands. any thunderstorms that
develop will be capable of producing brief heavy rain...gusty
winds...rough seas...dangerous lightning and even waterspouts.
mariners are advised to stay up-to-date on the weather for this
weekend. monitor noaa weather radio or your local media source for
the latest updates on this early season storm system. before
setting off and while underway...listen to noaa weather radio for
the latest warning and forecasts. if threatening weather develops
between friday night and sunday...mariners are urged to stay in
safe harbor until the weather improves.

...areas of dense fog over the coastal waters through at least monday
morning...
a shallow marine layer will continue to produce areas of dense fog
over the coastal waters through at least monday morning...and
possibly into tuesday morning. the most widespread dense fog
coverage will occur through monday morning. visibilities will fall
to 1 nm or less where fog occurs...leading to hazardous boating
conditions.
