...widespread gale force winds and large seas possible on tuesday
and wednesday...

a storm system will sweep through northern california monday
evening through tuesday. while little to no rain is expected
across central and southern california...hazardous sea conditions could
possibly be generated across local coastal waters by tuesday through
wednesday. there is moderate confidence that this system will
bring widespread gale force winds to the coastal waters...including
the santa barbara channel and nearshore waters off of los angeles
county. in addition to the winds...widespread large seas between 8
and 14 feet are possible at short periods around 8 seconds.

mariners should make preparations now to stay in safe harbor for
the middle of next week.
