Clatsop Spit Overview

The sensor is mast mounted on the dune near the Ft. Stevens Lot C lookout and should give good readings if the sensor is calibrated. However, Easterly readings will be typically lower, in some cases significantly, because the sensor is shielded by stands of pine trees to the east.
