waters until midnight pdt tonight...
* wind and waves...southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots will ease to
5 to 15 knots after midnight. wind waves of 1 to 4 feet will
also subside after midnight.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should...avoid navigating in these conditions.

...gale watch remains in effect for the east entrance to the u.s.
strait of juan de fuca from this evening through late tonight...
* wind...will rise from the west at 25 to 35 knots behind the
passage of a cold front early monday evening. winds are
expected to fall below gale force late monday night.
* waves...will build to 4 to 6 feet monday evening and then
subside late monday night.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a gale watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased...but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. it is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
