through early thursday morning...

the flash flood watch continues for

* portions of southwest arkansas, southeast oklahoma, and
northeast texas, including the following areas, in southwest
arkansas, hempstead, howard, lafayette, little river, miller,
nevada, and sevier. in southeast oklahoma, mccurtain. in

watch area with a total of 3-6 inches of rainfall expected. some
  isolated higher amounts are possible.

* flash flooding of roads, low lying, and poor drainage areas will
be possible. if you encounter flash flooding while driving your
vehicle, remember to turn around, don't drown.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

you should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

...flood watch remains in effect from 6 am cst this morning
through late tonight...

the flood watch continues for

* portions of arkansas and oklahoma...including the following
  counties...in arkansas...benton...carroll...crawford...
  franklin...madison...sebastian and washington ar. in
  oklahoma...adair...cherokee...choctaw...delaware...haskell...
  latimer...le flore...mcintosh...muskogee...pittsburg...
  pushmataha and sequoyah.

* from 6 am cst this morning through late tuesday night.

* 2 to 4 inch rainfall totals are expected tonight through
wednesday morning with locally higher amounts possible.

* this will likely lead to flooding in some low lying areas,
including the potential for a few rivers to reach flood stage.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. drainage ditches, creeks and other low lying
areas are prone to rises and may flood. most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles and flooding is the leading cause of weather
related deaths.
