.hazardous marine conditions will develop across the lower texas
gulf waters today as tropical storm dolly continues to move across
the bay of campeche towards mexico. please refer to the latest
information from the national hurricane center concerning the
progress of tropical storm dolly. increasing winds and building
seas produced by tropical storm dolly will result in adverse
marine conditions across the gulf waters today through wednesday
evening.

craft advisory...which is in effect until 7 pm cdt wednesday.
* winds: southeast winds around 20 knots.
* seas: seas 6 to 9 feet.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions for small
craft...generally with combined seas of 7 feet or more.
inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

late this afternoon through early wednesday afternoon...
.the pressure gradient will increase over the northwest gulf of
mexico through wednesday as tropical storm dolly...over the
southern gulf of mexico early this morning...moves to the west
and northwest into the northeast mexico coast early wednesday
morning. swells will increase through tonight with seas building
to near 8 feet over the offshore waters.

the national weather service in corpus christi has issued a small
craft advisory...which is in effect from 4 pm this afternoon to
4 pm cdt wednesday.
* winds and waves: southeast winds will increase to around 20
knots this afternoon and continue through the night before
diminishing to 15 to 20 knots by wednesday afternoon. seas will
build to around 8 feet this evening and continue through
wednesday morning.

a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
and/or seas of 7 feet or greater are expected to produce
hazardous conditions to small craft. inexperienced mariners...
especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid
navigating in these conditions. mariners should pay close
attention to the marine forecast...and consider wind and sea
conditions in planning.
